Thanksgiving Feast save the date
Cypress Trails United Methodist Church and Timber Lane are partnering to host a Thanksgiving Feast for our community. There will be a food drive with collection sites at the church and area schools and lots of volunteer opportunities. I will sent out another email when I get more information on volunteer needs. I hope all Tiger Sharks can join in celebrating and helping our community.

A note from one of the organizers:
Cypress Trails United Methodist Church is partnering with Timberlane Utility District and Timberlane Community Improvement Association, Sam Houston State University Charter School, Hirsch Elementary School PTO, local units of the Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of the USA, and Rotary and Lions Clubs, to host a Community Thanksgiving Feast. The Feast is a free event, open to all persons in the Spring area for the sole purpose of feeding those in need, and providing a safe place of fellowship for those who are alone on Thanksgiving Day. In addition to providing a hot holiday meal on Thanksgiving Day, we want to send home a box or bag of nonperishable food items (enough for several meals) with each family. Our hope is that your schools will join us in this effort. In order to accomplish this, we need participation from as many people as possible. We would like to put collection boxes in each school, and ask your students, staff, faculty and administration to bring items to fill the boxes, maybe several times over. Someone from our team will check in to see when the boxes are full, and need to be picked up and replaced with empty ones. The final pick up will be on Thursday, November 21, just prior to the Thanksgiving break.
