Tiger Sharks,
We unfortunately, did not win our last swim meet against Birnamwood/Fairfax. Their team was bigger and we had a lot of swimmer that did not attend. So our score for the season is 1-2. We have one more swim meet before our divisional swim meet, we have two more meets until the end of the season.
Coming Up This Week
This weekend, June 11th we HAVE A SWIM MEET. Saturday, June 11th, is a HOME MEET against Lexington Woods. As per our last meet you will need to arrive, check in and get your swimmer's numbers. Our check in time is 6:30 AM. Our warm up time is 7:00 AM. Being on time for the warm up is important for your swimmers, because it is the only time they will be able to get into the pool to practice before their events. Just after warm ups the coaches start scratching swimmers that are not yet checked in. If you do not want your swimmer scratched from the meet then you need to be on time. Scratching a swimmer means taking them out of the meet all together, once they are officially scratched they cannot be added back. As always during a swim meet you cannot park in the parking lot unless you are an official or have a handicap tag/plate. Recap - When you arrive at the pool, DO NOT PARK IN THE PARKING LOT, find the Check In Area/Person and highlight your swimmer's name, write their numbers on their forearm.
We will have pool SET UP on Friday, June 10th at 7:30 PM. Please make sure you come to help set up the pool area. AFTER the pool has been set up you can set up your personal canopy in an area. Please be sure to stay and help TAKE DOWN after the swim meet has ended on Satruday, June 11th.
As usual, we need volunteers to run the swim meet. PLEASE sign up using the link. If you have issues please contact me ASAP. This is one of your last chances to volunteer. We do have one more meet, the divisional meet, but we are very limited on the number of volunteers. We also are very much in NEED of Kid Herders. A kid herder takes the kids from the ready bench to the pool chairs in their proper lanes, that's it. If you are interested in the kid herding, please sign up under ready bench and I will make sure that is all that you do.
