Tigersharks,
This is the last week for most of you. Our last and final swim meet is on Saturday, June 20th at Inverness Forest. Inverness Forest is where we went for our very first swim meet of the season. They are graciously hosting the divisional meet again this year. The divisional meet, for our new families and swimmers, is where all the teams in our division, E4, meet again for one last meet all at one time. So we will be swimming against Inverness Forest, Foxwood, Livingston, Birnamwood/Farifax and North Spring all at one time. There will be LOTS of people there and if you remember no parking...except along the streets.
This swim meet will go just like all the others have, arrive and check in at 7:00 AM. The meet should start around 8:30-9:00 AM. The main difference between this meet and all the others is that IT WILL LAST LONGER. There are 6 teams worth of swimmers to go through. One other difference is that we break the meet up into 3 sessions instead of 2. Our volunteers are limited, but still required. We may have to ask those who have served us faithfully the entire season to do so again one last time. We had a bit of a problem during the North Spring meet with timers. We CANNOT have that happen again. Seriously, if we have no timers we lose the meet, its over, no more. Our swimmers have all worked too hard this season to let it end that way.
Please be cautious of where you park. The front of the pool is reserved for the OFFICIALS ONLY. It will be roped off. If you do not have a special parking pass you may not park there. Please do not block the drop off area too long. Do not block mail boxes. Do not block driveways. Do not park next to fire hydrants. Do not park too close to stop signs. Do not park facing the wrong way on the street. The cops are out patrolling, especially during the divisional meet. There will be port-a-potties and a hand washing station. Our team will have a designated area to set up in.
Just like any other meet there are HEAT SHEETS to be sold. In the divisional heat sheet you are able to place an ad. Birnamwood/Farifax is responsible for heat sheets this year. Here is the email they have sent out to me.
This is Jennifer Glass, I am the COC and COM for Birnamwood Blue Marlins and we are the ones responsible for putting out the Heat Sheets for Divisionals this year.
A full page advertisement will be $10 and a half page will be $5. If you are already have a combination of multiple ads in a full or half page, that will work as well, and only cost the price of the full or half page, I only ask that they be submitted as a single .jpg. This same offer is extended to your parents, as well.
All ads will be black and white and need to be in .jpg format. (They can be sent to me in color, just let them know that they will come out in black and white.)We are asking that you reach out to your teams and those responsible for Heat Sheet advertisements and get them to me in .jpg format and the size by Thursday June 18th by 5pm. We are also asking that you collect all the fees and pay in full by check or credit card by this Saturday at Divisionals. Checks can be made out to Birnamwood Swim Team.
ALL ADS NEED TO BE SENT DIRECTLY TO ME, AND I WILL SEND THEM TO HER. Since she wants them my Thursday, June 18th at 5PM, I WANT THEM BY 3:00 PM. I need time to make sure they are ok to send. If you miss the dead line, you miss the dead line. Give all checks or cash to me so I can give it to them. If you are paying by check, please write the check out to Birnamwood Swim Team.
